Himeji castle
"Himeji castle" is one of the most famous castle in Japan.
I had lived in Himeji, Hyogo before I live in Osaka. When I was a girl, I used to see the castle, because my parents used to go to a park, where is near by the castle, with me and my little brother.
I think that Himeji castle is the best building in Japan, consequence it is very huge and the wall is beautiful white.
Himeji castle is also called "white heron".
It is wroth to visiting Himeji castle!

Thank you for sharing information about Himeji Castle. I find the architecture fascinating. The design is so unique. What amazes me is how long ago it was constructed. It is certainly a tribute to the craftsmanship of the Japanese builders. It does remind me of a white heron ready for flight. What does the nearby park where you used to play look like? I can tell you have good memories of it.

I've been to Himeji Castle many times because i live in Kobe. And every time we have foreign visitors we take them there. Of course everyone is impressed. But I have never taken my 4 year old daughter there, but you reminded me of it and I think I might take her. Recently she always wants to visit temples whenever we go to Shiga (my husband's parents live in Ishiyama) so I think she'd love to go to Himeji Castle.
